Don’t overlook this rich buttery cake that can be served any time of the day. Delicious plain or serve with toppings.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two loaf pans with nonstick spray. Set aside.
- Whisk together eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Set aside.
- Beat butter in a mixing bowl for ~2 minutes.
- Gradually add in sugar and salt. Beat butter and sugar mixture for 3-5 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Dribble in egg mixture, about 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing in between. Scrape down the sides of the bowl periodically.
- Add ~1 cup of flour at a time to the batter and mix until just combined.
- Pour or spoon batter equally into two loaf pans.
- Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and place onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
